Michelle's Story (Family Member)

At the time, it may seem like a hard decision whether or not to make contact by phone or email to ask for help.
Looking back, I am really pleased that I had the courage to reach out. I can say this being a female affected by gambling harm from my partner.
It was all getting out of control. Each day I was finding it difficult to cope with stress, the pressure of finances, and both my health and relationships were suffering.
By working through the support and advice sessions, it has provided me with the support and guidance. I have done this at my own pace and more importantly, it has given me back the confidence to cope with working through a simple step-by-step process during counselling.
Looking back, I can see a totally different person here today. I feel a lot stronger and able to think clearly, make decisions rationally without being clouded by doubt.
