Gambling Harm Awareness Week 2023
Kua Mutu Ināianei te waranga ngaro - Time to stop the Hidden Addiction
Gambling Harm Awareness Week (GHAW) is a national campaign to increase public awareness of gambling harm. During the week, gambling harm services, health and welfare organisations, and communities come together to host events across Aotearoa (in person and online) to prevent and reduce gambling harm to keep our communities well.
Mr G’s hikoi is a powerful Māori lived experience journey from gambling harm to hauora. Gambling harm is a significant health issue in New Zealand, potentially causing adverse impacts on the well-being of individuals, whānau, and communities. Check out Mr G’s hikoi now.
The Salvation Army Oasis and other specialist services are available across Aotearoa to support anyone affected by gambling harm, including family and whanau in their own right.
Check out all our GHAW site activities here.

It is important to take care of ourselves and our communities, especially as we all cope with the costs of living. Our giveaway approach is to support families and whanau at this time. It might be a good opportunity to grab a picnic with friends or whānau.
