Sites Activties
Auckland

We are holding an information stall at SkyCity Auckland throughout the week, 5th – 11th September, in collaboration with the other local gambling harm reduction services. SkyCity Auckland – Victoria St & Federal St, CBD, Auckland. 

 

We are holding an information stall inside the Glen Innes TAB on the 6th and 7th of September. TAB Glen Innes, 219-223 Taniwha St, Glen Innes, Auckland.  

 

Presentation on 8th Sep to Epsom Lodge staff on brief screening and referral processes. Epsom Lodge – 18 Margot St, Epsom, Auckland.  

Waikato & Tauranga 

From 5/9 to 9/9- We will distribute posters throughout The Salvation Army sites (family stores and food banks) in Hamilton and Tauranga and email local services.  
 

6/9 - We will participate in PGF’s initiative alongside K’aute Pasifika. We will visit venues un Tokoroa (South Waikato) to approach host responsibility.

5/9 and 7/9- We are holding a SkyCity promo stall throughout the week in collaboration with the other local services. SkyCity Hamilton- 346 Victoria Street, Hamilton Central, Hamilton 3204 
 

7/9 We will participate in a community meeting- Here to Help U: Annual provider hui- and take the opportunity to socialize GHAW with local services.  
 

6/9 and 9/9- We are holding an information stall in TSA food bank- Hamilton. The Salvation Army- 99 London Street, Hamilton Central, Hamilton 3204 
 

8/9 - We are holding an information stall in a TAB in Hamilton. Te Rapa TAB- 618 Te Rapa Road, Te Rapa, Hamilton 3200

Wellington

We will distribute posters through the Community Ministries network (17 sites) and to the Bridge programme (including for the Palmerston North social detox).  

Distribute posters to local community groups (approximately 20).  Total: 40 posters 

Christchurch

Gambling de-stigmatisation posters will be placed in Salvation Army Services and Community Organisations throughout the Canterbury region. These will include links to our online survey. 

 

We will be hosting Gambling Harm information stand at TAB Shirley on Wednesday and Friday 1pm – 5pm. 122 Marshland Road, Shirley, Christchurch 

 

Nationwide poster campaign – watch out for the big posters! 

Online Quiz running throughout Gambling Harm Awareness Week – information, fun and some cool giveaways. 

Dunedin

We will be hosting a stall at Sky City Casino Queenstown-8th 9th September 4pm-10pm. Stratton House Level 2/16-24 Beach Street, Queenstown 9300 

We will be having a static stall at TAB South Dunedin for the week and will be at the stall on the 7th of September from 1.15pm - 2.45pm – 123 Hillside Road, Hillside Road South Dunedin.   

We will be having a static stall at TAB Central City for the week and will be at the stall on the 7th of September from 11.30am-1pm 

We will also be having a static display at The Salvation Army Mission Centre Reception. 160 Crawford Street Dunedin
